Every attempt must be a valid 5-letter word. If it isn’t in our word list, it won’t be accepted and you’ll need to try another.
Super easy mode: any letters can be used for any attempt. Each attempt does not need to be a valid word — just use the colours to work it out.
Standard vs Hard — in Hard mode, letters that aren’t in the word are greyed out and can’t be used again.
Double-tap a square to pin it, then type — the letter goes there instead of the next empty square.
New words every day — one play per game per day.

There are two ways to join:
Tap the link your mate sent you, pick the name you want them to see, then tap Join. This works when you play in your phone’s web browser.
No link, or play from the Aussie Words icon on your home screen? Links open in your browser, not the app, so use the code instead. It’s a mix of letters and numbers, shown in your mate’s invite message (or they can read it out from their group).
Your result is posted to your group automatically when you finish. Daily Word and Aussie Slang are ranked separately, and you can be in as many groups as you like.
